Delonte West Arrested For Weapons

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West, 26, was pulled over on his Can-Am Spyder motorcycle in suburban Washington at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday September 17 for cutting off a Prince George’s county police officer near his home in Maryland. Delonte had been riding north on the Capital Beltway when things suddenly went south for the athlete.

He told the officer that he was carrying a handgun in his waistband, though it turned out he was packing three weapons. Officers confiscated a 9mm Beretta, a Ruger .357 strapped to his leg and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped and slung over his back.

According to Corporal Clinton Copeland, Delonte was charged with speeding and two counts of carrying a handgun and was released on his own recognizance early Friday.
